Our Journey
Mano Bank contributes to society by protecting the forests of Lithuania, investing in the defence of the country and the success of the country’s athletes
Mano Bank applies a values-based support policy and supports three main areas. The largest support is provided to Ukraine and the Lithuanian Riflemen’s Union, and to the area of sustainability, where the Ancient Woods Foundation has been supported for the second year in a row. Finally, of course, sports – last year we started establishing a relationship with tennis. A new tennis arena built in Klaipeda was named Mano Bank Arena, and this year we were very eager to contribute to the historical opportunity of the beach volleyball pair to represent Lithuania for the first time at the Olympic Games.
One of the best banks in Lithuania in terms of operational efficiency
During the entirety of 2023, Mano Bank exhibited exemplary operational efficiency compared to other financial institutions in the banking sector, boasting a return on assets (ROA) of 1.55% and a return on equity (ROE) of 28.51%.
We share and help in the name of a sustainable future – thanks to our support, Sengirės fondas VšĮ has purchased 6.08 ha of forest in Šilutė District for maintenance and protection against harmful human activities.
EIF and Mano Bank agreed on a 40 million euros guarantee for SME loans
The new guarantee agreement between EIF and Mano Bank, signed under the InvestEU programme of the European Commission, allows to guarantee more than 40 million new business loans. Mano Bank is the first financial institution in Lithuania to sign such a guarantee agreement, which is aimed at promoting innovation, sustainability projects, job creation and economic growth.
According to audited data, in 2022, the loan portfolio of Mano Bank reached 89.13 million euros, which is 77 per cent more than 2021. Net interest income grew by 53 per cent up to 5.0 million euros, and net income from services and commissions rose by 35 per cent up to 2.6 million euros. Last year, earned profit grew by 32 per cent and amounted to 1.58 million euros. Over the past year, the bank’s assets increased by 84 per cent up to 201.6 million euros.
We joined the Lithuanian Responsible Business Association
In January 2021, we became a full member of the Lithuanian Responsible Business Association.
In August 2021, we approved Environmental Protection Strategy, in which we undertake to continuously reduce the bank’s direct impact on the environment: the use of fossil fuels, generation of waste and emission of greenhouse gases (GHG).
We also prepared and published the first annual Sustainability Report. For companies that seek sustainable development, sustainability reports are a necessary practice in order to assess the current situation, track changes and set goals. According to the data provided in the report for 2021, Mano Bank meets the concept of a sustainable organisation.
